Cow Roast to East of Berkhamstead Bridge 143, 3.5 miles, 10 locks, 4 hours 20 mins

Left  Cow Roast at 11:00, late start as Tracy had to drive back from Cambridge.

Filled up with water, before we started through the first lock, poor George was traumatised when the hose flicked out of the filling hole and soaked  him!!  He was subsequently traumatised further in a lock, whilst crossing the lock gates the skipper ( not Tracy) wasn't concentrating and rammed the boat on the gate (slight exaggeration but that was how it seemed to our not very brave dog!)

Travelled onto Berkamstead which was very busy, but a very kind couple offered for us to moor up alongside, which was much appreciated ( the second boat back on the picture)
Which meant we could pop into Waitrose to top up on provisions.

After a quick lunch we headed off from the port of Berkhamstead!

3 more locks and that was it for us for the day

Moored up and had a ice cold Guinness and a Gin and Tonic - that's the life!!
