Hopwas to Polesworth - 2 locks, 9.5 miles

We left just after 7:15, with the sun putting in a welcome appearance.

First stop was at Fazeley junction to fill up with water.  This area has improved dramatically since we came through last September.

This was pretty much derelict when we came through last time.

We had a couple if locks to go through at Glascote, they were very slow to fill, seemed to take forever.

This stretch is very well maintained and the sunshine always helps!

I am back to Swinford tonight for a night out with the girls, then tomorrow we tackle the Atherstone flight.  But before any of that I am going to take my first run since I hurt my foot, will be trying the new trainers, will only do 10 mins at most but hopefully the foot will hold up and I can start the slow build up, fingers crossed.
