Fradley Junction to Hopwas - 2 locks, 1 swing bridge, 8.5 miles

Well the plan for the visit to cafe didn't come off.  Monday night we walked to the pub at the junction and had a quick drink.

We decided that as the weather forecast was quite good we would get some cruising in during the morning and head into Leicester in the afternoon.  So we didn't see Graham Taylor, but we did have a bacon and mushroom buttie for breakfast.

We moored up at Hopwas and headed to Leicester.

First stop was the Mazda garage, where we placed the order for my new car :-)).  A very lovely Mazda MX5, in Titanium Flash will soon be mine - yippee!!!

Then we went to the running shop to get some new running shoes sorted out, the guy in the shop was really good, I tried on about 5 or 6 pairs all with gait analysis on the treadmill, I finally ended up with these beauties.

Rod then dropped me at the house for me to continue my painting quest, I must be really slow at decorating, I certainly couldn't make a living out of it!!  By the end of Thursday I had finally completely finished the lounge and the kitchen and had painted the ceiling in the bathroom, so I am getting there I think!!

George and Digby went for a couple of walks together, they are becoming firm friends.

Rodney picked me up and we stopped at the Tame Otter for our tea, 2 x fish and chips - lush :-).
